What is blepharoplasty? ( Mongolian eyelid surgery and Hooded eyelid surgery)
A simple surgical procedure of removing excess skin covering the eyelids which gives the eyes a Mongolian look or Asian look is Mongolian eyelid surgery. Which is usually done in Rai, Limbu, and Gurung communities eyes in Nepal. Creating a wider eye look and a space for the crease. Whereas either one might have or not have crease it gets hooded with time to remove the excess amount of skin hooked above the eyelids hooded eyelid surgery.
Does it have any side effects?
It’s just removing excess skin and fat so the eye surgery has nothing to do with vision. It has no side effects except for surgical complications like bleeding, swelling, and infections.
How much does the result last?
Asian eyelids surgery and hooded eyelids surgery results are permanent.
Recovery time after surgery?
We suggest you take at least 2 days leave from your work. The suture is removed in 5 to 7 days. Swelling might take 1 to 4 weeks to subside.
